The activities of the KCCI are inextricably inter-woven with the import, export and trade. Therefore this Chamber assigns high priority to the services required by the exporters and importers. The Chamber is the authorized agency to issue Weighment/measurement certificates for the export and import cargo. The Government of India has recognized this Chamber for the purpose of issuing Certificates of Origin.

The Chamber keeps a constant vigil on the taxation introduced from time to time by Central and State Governments. Meetings are also held under the auspices of the Chamber before and after the introduction of Union and State Budgets every year . Aberrations in the working of many departments and public institutions which affect the trade and industry are brought to the attention of the authorities for remedial measures. The Chamber therefore functions as the eye and ear of the business community in all important fields affecting their welfare.
